First ever Blog!

We chose to do our company as an animal sanctuary, or shelter, because we truly feel that there are far too many animals who are homeless, or that live in inhumane environments, in squalor, and we want to put those situations out there in the open, hoping that someone will see the photos or videos and might be able to help out in some way.  We often watch videos online, or in the news about just how horrible it gets for all these poor animals, and, usually, we see all of the happy endings; however, not every ending is happy, and sometimes, we see where everything went so unbelievably tragically wrong.  Maybe in some way, someone will see a local animal in need and go out of there way to adopt, foster, or just to make a donation.  Every little bit will help.

Luckily, some dogs that are in shelters are trained to be something more, perhaps, even service dogs.  Due to disability, there is always a need for service dogs; a dog to support the person with a disability, to help with daily things that said person are no longer able to do, or just a dog that is there to be a loyal companion.

Hi, Chantal speaking.  In the future, I think I’d like to work at a humane society, as a volunteer.  Perhaps, I’ll do one of my placements next year at the Kingston Humane Society.  I would love the take care of animals in need, to give some much needed love.  Walk them, feed them, whatever they need, I can potentially help them in some way.
