WHAT IS “PAWSCROSSINGSANTUARY” COMMITTED TO?

We are an animal rescue group dedicated to making a difference.

RESCUE: We rescue and find forever homes for animals in need using a network of foster homes.

REHABILITATION: We provide all animals with proper veterinary care, housing and nutrition, spay or neuter, and a loving foster home for socialization such as training and recovery programs for abused animals.

ADOPTION: As a “no-kill” rescue, our animals stay in foster homes until they are adopted.

EDUCATION: We educate the public about animal issues such as: proper care, the pet over-population crisis, the need to spay/neuter, and the importance of adoption.

We provide hands-on experience for high school and college students, for example aiding students and teachers with stress management, and helping the students find placement opportunities; as well as re-habilitation for youth offenders and federal offenders with our program “Need a Friend.”

DONATIONS: We accept donations, such as food, animal care, supplies, veterinarian costs, and volunteer drivers by appointment, training and our Need a Friend Program.

VOLUNTEERING: We accept all applications.  Once we have reviewed through applications, you will receive a call for an interview before starting the process of becoming a volunteer for Paws Crossing Sanctuary.

NEED A FRIEND PROGRAMThis program is designed to not only help the animals we rescued, but to help youth offenders and Federal inmates to start the process of rehabilitation back into the community. This arrangement has been very successful for both youth and federal programs. The success rate for students/inmates is 95% with an animal adoption rate at 100%.
